AOG’S PRIVACY POLICY


This Privacy Policy explains in detail the types of personal data we may collect about you when you use or browse the AOG website (“AOG”). It also explains how we will store and handle your data and keep it safe. This Privacy Policy applies if you are a user of AOG.


  1. WHO ARE WE


    1. When we say ‘we’ or ‘us’ in this policy, we are referring to AOG.


  2. WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?


    1. Your personal details in order to process your registration of account and use of AOG. These details may include your name, e-mail address, postal address, credit/debit card and/or bank details and mobile phone number. This list is not exhaustive and may include other relevant personal details. It is important to note that all information requested is obligatory to be provided by you unless we indicate otherwise. Should you fail to provide the obligatory information we may be unable to process your request.


    2. Your account login details such as your login ID and for security, an encrypted record of your login password.


    3. Information that your browser sends whenever you access AOG through your device. This information may include the time and date of your access to AOG, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.


    4. Information gathered by the use of cookies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on AOG and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier and cookies are stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze AOG. You can instruct your device to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of AOG.

Information gathered from affiliates and other third-party sources such as referral programmes, our business partners (including but not limited to payment providers, advertisers etc.), publicly available data, governmental sources of data, when our user provides your information for any reason whatsoever and marketing service providers or partners.


    6. Please note that AOG is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your children have provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

  3. HOW AND WHY DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?


    1. We want to give you the best possible experience in using AOG. One way to achieve that is to get the richest picture we can of who you are by combining the data we have about you.


    2. We may use your information in the following ways:


      1. Maintaining AOG – we use your personal information as a tool to monitor the usage of AOG and to detect, prevent and address technical issues.

      2. Analytics and profiling – we use your personal information for statistical analysis and to help us understand more about our users so that we could improve AOG.

      3. Processing payments – we use your personal information to enable our payment processing and refund function.


  4. WHO MIGHT WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?


    1. Our service providers - we work with partners and agencies so that they can help us provide the services you require from us. These third parties process your personal information on our behalf and are required to meet our high standards of security before doing so. We only share information that allows them to provide their services to us or to facilitate them providing their services to you. These third parties include:

      4. Third party vendors who help us to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure;

Further, please be informed that if required for any of the foregoing purposes, your Personal Data may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

  5. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES


    1. AOG may contain links to other third-party websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party's website. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every third-party website you visit.


    2. Please note that we have no control over how those third parties collect and use your personal data and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party websites or services.


  6. MARKETING


    1. We allow advertisers to run ad campaigns on AOG.


      1. The information and advertisements that you see when accessing AOG may be targeted on the basis of your current activity or contextual information.

      2. In AOG, you can manage your preference and opt out from one or all of the different push notifications by selecting or deselecting the relevant options in the Settings Section of your device.


    2. We are not responsible for the content of said advertisements and the products delivered or services rendered by any third-parties and you irrevocably and unconditionally agree that we shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense that you may suffer or incur as a result or in connection thereof.


  7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA


    1. We know how much data security matters to all our customers. With this in mind we will treat your data with the utmost care and take all appropriate steps to protect it.


    2. We secure access to all transactional areas of AOG.


    3. Access to your personal data is password-protected.


    4. We regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and we carry out penetration testing to identify ways to further strengthen security.


  8. HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?


    1. Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we will only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. At the end of that retention period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning. In most cases, our retention period will come to an end 7 years after the end of your relationship with us.

    1. You have a number of rights under data protection legislation which, in certain circumstances, you may be able to exercise in relation to the personal information we process about you.

      1. the right to correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you;

      2. the right to restrict our use of your personal information. Please note however that the refusal to consent to the processing of your personal data, the withdrawal of your consent or the restriction of the processing of your personal data may result in the inability to provide you or continue to provide you with our services through AOG and/or process your request; and

      3. the right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you for a prescribed fee under the law.


    3. Where we rely on consent as the legal basis on which we process your personal information, you may also withdraw that consent at any time.

Please note that we will need to verify your identity before we can fulfil any of your rights under data protection law. This helps us to protect the personal information belonging to our customer against fraudulent requests.

    3. This Policy is written in English and Bahasa Malaysia. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the English version and the Bahasa Malaysia version of this Privacy Policy, the English version shall prevail.
